New men in charge at Tadley

-

TADLEY Calleva suffered their ninth defeat of the Combined Counties Premier North season as they lost 2-1 away to CB Hounslow.

Connor Thorne did score for Tadley, but Morgan Grount and Luke Dunn ensured Hounslow took all three points.

It was the start of a new era for Tadley as they recently appointed joint-managers in the duo of Joe Lawler and Ben Dillon.

After a number of interviews, Tadley made the announcement on their Twitter page last week.

Lawler and Dillon have plenty of experience in the Combined Counties League, having been involved with Hartley Wintney, Badshot Lea and more recently Cove.

A statement on the Tadley Twitter page, said: “They were clear with their plan for taking the club forward from our current position and with their longer-term vision for the future.

“They will also be announcing additional coaching staff in due course, but in the meantime please join us in welcoming them both to the club.”

As well as Lawler and Dillon, Tadley announced that George Coffin and Dean

Hutchins were to return to the club as first-team coaches.

The management team will be aiming for their first win this weekend when they host St Panteleimon at Barlows Park, with kick off at 3pm.

In Division 1 of the Combined Counties league, AFC Aldermaston fell to a 6-1 away defeat to Hilltop, with Rupen Limbu scoring their only goal.

So far this season, Aldermaston have played nine, won three and lost six.

This weekend, Aldermaston travel to Cove who are currently sitting third from bottom and are two places behind them in the table.
