KINTBURY JOG (Mark Wheeler, Tom Watmore & Peter Sinyard) dominated Woolton Hill Wildcats (Viktor Veres, Roger Cherowbrier & Simon Sonsino) 8-2 in an absorbing fixture in Division 1 of the Newbury Table Tennis League.
Wheeler won all three matches 3-1, while Watmore beat Sonsino & Cherowbrier 3-0 and lost to Veres in five games.
Sinyard beat Cherowbrier 3-0, Sonsino 3-1 and lost to Veres 2-3 and in the doubles, Wheeler & Watmore beat Sonsino & Cherowbrier 3-0.
Thatcham Scorpions (Eric van Looy, Simon Barter & Niall McGrane) lost 8-2 to Thatcham Extra Edge (Phil Davenport, Celia Hooker & Clive Welsman).
Van Looy lost to Welsman 0-3, lost to Davenport 1-3 and beat Hooker 3-1.
Barter beat Hooker in five games, lost to Davenport in five and lost 1-3 to Welsman.
Elsewhere, McGrane lost 0-3 to Welsman & Davenport and lost to Hooker in five, while in the doubles Van Looy & Barter went down 0-3 to Welsman & Davenport.
In Division 2, Thatcham Lions (Phil Jones, David Martin & Eddie Haines) edged out AWE Fission (John McLarty & George Wilson) 6-4.
Jones lost to McLarty 0-3 and beat Wilson 3-1, while Martin lost to McLarty in five and lost 1-3 to Wilson.
Player-of-the-match Haines saw off both Wilson & McLarty 3-1 and in the doubles, Martin & Jones lost to McLarty & Wilson in five.
Woolton Hill Oracles (Panos & Dimitrios Stemitsiotis and Robin Burns) were outplayed by Thatcham Spartans (Eric Panting, Malcolm Record & Dave Wise), losing 9-1.
Panos Stemitsiotis lost to Panting & Dave Wise 0-3 and 1-3 to Record.
Dimitrios Stemitsiotis lost to Wise 0-3, lost to Panting in five games and beat Record 3-2.
