Godwin’s too good for his rivals
ANDREW Godwin came out on top in The April Stableford Division 1 at Newbury & Crookham Golf Club.
He scored 42 points, while Derek Bell and Kevin Rowe were second and third with 37 and 36 respectively.
Division 2 was won by Jim Wilson on 39 on countback from Dan Pearce, while Division 3 was won by Peter Clements with 40.
Craig Pearce won the Clifford Cup with 41 points, while the ladies Boake Cup was won by Anne Mrowiec with 41, three clear of Louise Willson.
The presentation of trophies won in 2021 were made by club captain Ken Kenyon and lady captain Cilla Osgood.
