“We feel overwhelmed and thankful. We work hard together as a team and we’re all just overwhelmed with it and really chuffed that we got it. It was a brilliant night as well.
“We all work really hard and it is something to be proud of.
“It’s a lovely place to work and it’s just good to be recognised.”
Staff regularly organise events and activities for Broadmead residents, including craft days, wedding anniversary celebrations and tea parties.
The home also supports small businesses, having local caterers and other food providers come in and feed both residents and staff.
Resident services manager

“We were absolutely thrilled to win. We were shocked actually. We’re still shocked now.”
The Broadmead team were also particularly proud to have won the Employer of the Year award, with one member of staff stating: “Our team of excellent people are the reason we can provide the type of care that we do, so it is important for us to maintain a strong team culture and a healthy environment for our staff to work in.”
