Happy days for Smart Sprayz!
MOBILE car body repair business Smart Sprayz picked up the Best Customer Experience award – and the three-person family-run business were delighted with their win.
Co-business owner David Brooks attended the awards evening with his wife Donna, who also does admin for the company.
He said: “We are pretty chuffed. We definitely weren’t expecting it. We are a little family-run business just starting out so we are very pleased.
“Sitting among all these bigger businesses who have been going for years, we thought we were very small fish.
“I was looking around thinking, ‘I don’t think we’re going to win anything. We’re just here for the experience’.
“When our name was read out we just thought ‘wow’. We really didn’t expect it.”
Mr Brooks set up Smart Sprayz with his business partner Shaun Whitfield after the pandemic.
They had worked together in the past and decided to set up the company after doing some soul-searching during lockdown.
Mr Brooks said: “I don’t want to be blowing our own horn but we have always been pretty good at what we do.
“I can trust his work and he trusts my work so we went from there really.”
Customers in large parts of Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire with minor cosmetic damage on their vehicles can send pictures of the damage to the Smart Sprayz team who
provide them with a quote.
If the customer is happy with the quote, either Mr Brooks or Mr Whitfield will travel to them in one of two vans and carry out the repair.
If the repair needs more attention, they can also bring the damaged vehicle into their workshop to complete it.
Mr Brooks said that Smart Sprayz is hoping to expand in the near future, adding another person and van to the team.
Mr Brooks added: “We are going to carry on doing what we’re doing. Keeping customers happy is our main priority.”
