Expansion and a promotion at Donnington New Homes
‘We’re proud to be based in West Berkshire since 1997, and are looking to build upon that’
DONNINGTON New Homes, the Newbury-based house builder, is looking to the future with a new addition to the existing land team.
Dominic Naughton has joined the company as senior land manager with responsibility for sourcing short-term development sites for the company’s development programme.
Mr Naughton was previously with Bellway Homes.
Supporting him in his search for new sites will be Megan Norgate, who has recently been promoted to the role of assistant land manager, having started with the company in September 2021 in the role of trainee surveyor.
Ms Norgate is in her second year of a degree apprenticeship in real estate, which will lead her through to a chartered surveying qualification.
Mark Norgate, founder and managing director of Donnington New Homes, said: “I am delighted to welcome Dominic Naughton to the Donnington New Homes family, and he is already proving to be a great addition to the team.
“I am equally delighted to promote Megan who has proven to be a very capable analyst of development opportunities, and I am sure that by using her excellent people skills she will go far in the company and the industry.
“A solid supply of development land is the cornerstone of any housebuilding company, and Donnington New Homes have always taken a very longterm view of where we will be building in the future.
“As conditions improve, it was time to strengthen the land team as we develop our way through our current land portfolio.
“Dominic and Megan will be working with myself and Philip Simmons, Donnington’s senior strategic land manager, to ensure that the company continues to have a strong supply of building land going forwards.
“We are already the largest promoter of residential development land in West Berkshire, where we are proud to have been founded and based since 1997, and are looking to build upon that success further afield.”
