Amazing Elodie’s Open hat-trick

Team Kennet athlete secures three personal bests

ELODIE Burdett was the star of the show for Team Kennet at the Bracknell Open event.

Team Kennet had 14 young athletes taking part, but it was Elodie who stood out after securing personal bests in all of her three under-11 girls events – 75m, 150m and 600m.

In the 600m she finished fourth, clocking a time of 2:08:41.

In the under-13 group there were four TK athletes taking part.

Euan Jones won the javelin with a throw of 26.90m, while Josh Bailey placed 10th in the 1200m.

Ella McDonald competed in 150m and long jump, and made her debut with the javelin, finishing fourth with 10.44m.

Penelope Lyth also in the long jump, 75m and 600m, where she clocked a new PB of 1:45:76 to finish in 4th.

In the under-15 group, Anna Hall took part in the 1500m and finished in a time of 5:52:90.

Ella Cronk finished third in the high jump with a new PB of1.30m, scored another personal best of 4.24m in the long jump and clocked 2:41.46 in the 800m.

Charlotte Bailey finished third in the 1500m with a new PB of 5:13:70.

Noah Lauder-Clarke finished fifth in the javelin, throwing 26.87m, while Will McDonald was third with 32.33m.

McDonald also entered the discus, finishing sixth with a

throw of 19.98m.

Zoe Dickson finished in ninth place in the discus with 17.60m and fifth in the hammer with 16.77m.

In the under-17s Evie Lewis finished third in the hammer with 30.59m and fifth in the discus (26.83m).

Bethany MacLean clocked personal bests in both the 300m and 800m, while James Simmons entered the 100m, 200m and finished fifth in the long jump.
