Sprouts with But­tered Al­monds

IN­GRE­DI­ENTS

• 600g ready-peeled sprouts, trimmed • 30g but­ter • 30g flaked al­monds • Salt and freshly ground black pep­per

METHOD

Put the sprouts into a large saucepan and cover with boil­ing wa­ter. Add a pinch of salt and sim­mer for 12-15 min­utes. Mean­while, melt the but­ter in a fry­ing pan and cook the al­monds un­til pale golden brown. Drain the sprouts well and add the al­monds and but­ter, toss­ing to coat. Serve.

COOK’S TIP

If you like, sea­son the sprouts with a lit­tle freshly grated nut­meg – or have some on hand for those that like it.
