MAC Cosmetics Studio Sculpt Liquid Foundation

No.1’ s make-up artist created a natural looking base with a medium coverage foundation. MAC’S Studio Sculpt helps to cover any blemishes and gives a dewy effect. Bronzer was then lightly applied to the cheeks with a large blending brush.

MAC Lipstick in Amorous

No.1’ s make-up artist opted for a dark pink lip colour with cool undertones to complement the dark, smoky eye. A lip liner was then used on the outer edges of Mhairi’s lips with a small angled brush to enhance their size and ensure the colour wouldn’t bleed out from the lips.

Two burgundy tones were used to complement Mhairi’s green eyes. These shades were applied with a large, fluffy brush, and then a black eyeshadow was lightly blended on the outer corner of the eye to create a cut crease effect.

Mhairi’s hair was curled to create texture. The hair was split into two sections: the top half was left loose and the bottom was tied up using a bungee hair cord. This makes it easier to tie hair up as it only requires a single clip to hold in place.

To further accentuate Mhairi’s eyes, false lashes were added to really open them up. A thin line of black gel liner was then applied with a small liner brush along the lash line. This adds extra depth and provides the perfect frame for false lashes to be added to.

Next, the top half and crown of Mhairi’s hair was backcombed for volume. This section was then wrapped around the ponytail. Once this was secure, the up-do was split into two sections and pinned at either side to create a messy bun.
