VICTORIA GILL ALASDAIR WILSON
Victoria and Alasdair enjoyed a classic wedding reception at Sennowe Park in Guist, where they brought the outdoors in
WE KNEW of our venue from word of mouth and we spent a sunny Saturday exploring locations, as we wanted to marry in Norfolk, where I grew up. As we approached Sennowe Park down the long, winding drive, we were blown away by the setting and decided there and then we wanted to have our reception there.
Sarah Softley from Softley Events co-ordinated our wedding. She was absolutely wonderful right from the start, her knowledge and expertise made the whole planning process so straightforward and she was an absolute source of calm on the day.
We wanted a church wedding and we fell in love with St Peter and St Paul in Salle for its acoustics and dramatic, long aisle. The stunning location was the perfect backdrop for our wedding ceremony.
Our colour scheme was a mix of gold, green and white, which explored the idea of bringing the garden in. We wanted a classic wedding with modern touches and hired beautiful twisted bay trees from Posh Plants, which lined the marquee; had cloud trees at the entrance and our florists adorned the tables and marquee poles with beautiful foliage and dashes of white.
Close family and friends stayed at Sennowe Park the night before the wedding, when we drank champagne and chatted in the winter garden before sitting down for dinner.
On the morning of the wedding, we woke to sunshine, which was heavenly given the torrential rain we had seen only the week before.
The whole day was wonderful and I wouldn’t change a thing. The champagne reception and the canapés were our favourite part of the day, then we sat down to a three-course wedding breakfast and speeches.
