Clinic’s charity day supports hospice’s 40 for Forty funds

-

A HOLISTIC health clinic in Barnstaple is hosting a charity clinic day in aid of North Devon Hospice after joining the charity’s 40 for Forty Business Club.

All funds raised will help to provide vital care for patients and families in North Devon facing the impacts of a life-limiting illness.

On Saturday, April 27, Barnstaplebased clinic VitaliQi will be opening its doors between 9am and 3pm to offer customers old and new a wide range of treatments including acupuncture, reflexology, reiki, massage and emotional freedom technique (EFT)/tapping therapy. The money raised from each one-hour treatment will be donated to the hospice to ensure it can continue caring for local people now, in its 40th anniversary year, and beyond.

“I am delighted that we are now a 40 for Forty Business Club partner with North Devon Hospice; committed to raising funds for this much loved and needed local resource,” said Alison Savory, clinic director of VitaliQi Holistic Health Clinic.

“Our first fundraiser is a clinic day on Saturday, April 27, where all complementary therapies with our three therapists are available to book for £50, with 100% of the profits going to the hospice.”

North Devon Hospice provides care for local people who are affected by cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.

The 40 for Forty Business Club, which was launched earlier this year to mark the hospice’s 40th anniversary, will see 40 local businesses take on various fundraising events and activities throughout the year to collectively raise £40,000.

VitaliQi is just one of those taking part to ensure local hospice care is available to those who need it now and in the future.

“We are offering a fabulous range of treatments as part of this special 40 for Forty fundraiser, all of which will help our clients to relax and feel their best,” added Alison. “We have a holistic approach to health, understanding the body and mind are interlinked and affect each other. Knowing the hospice also offers complementary therapies to patients and families, we feel this is the perfect way to kick-start our fundraising.”

Claire Paine, business relationship manager at North Devon Hospice, said: “We’re delighted to have VitaliQi on board as one of our fantastic 40 for Forty Business Club members – a huge thank you to them for hosting this wonderful fundraising event!

“Currently, more people than ever are relying on our care and it’s getting hard to raise enough funds to meet local need. Only with the support of our amazing community can we continue to be there for the people of North Devon caring for you, time after time.”
