Working along Michelin chef
TWO budding Coleg Llandrillo chefs had the chance to work alongside some of the finest in their field, whilst helping to raise thousands of pounds for a children’s charity.
Liam King from Rhyl and Damian Farrell from Cerrigydrudion, who are both studying on the City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma In Advanced Professional Cookery at the college’s Rhos-on-Sea campus, were chosen to participate in the preparation of a seven-course charity dinner at the luxurious Devonshire Arms Hotel in Bolton Abbey, which is nestled in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The students were paired up with Michelin-starred chef Mark Poynton, who is Chef-Patron of Alimentum in Cambridge and helped raise £5,000 for the Ilkley Candlelighters charity.
