School’s biggest fundraiser

North Wales Weekly News - - WRITTEN BY YOU -

NURSERY and reception children at Ysgol Glanwydden entertained their parents and grandparents by singing in a coffee afternoon to raise money for the cancer charity Clic Sargent.

Not only that but a raffle was held and all pupils were allowed to wear their own clothes for a donation. This brought about an amazing £1,035 in donations in one afternoon - the biggest fundraiser in the school’s history.

Over a year ago one of the pupils, Isabelle Naylor who had only just started school in nursery, was diagnosed with leukaemia. Despite months of difficult treatment, she returned to school full of energy and ready to take on her education just before the summer.

The Clic Sargent charity has been central to Isabelle’s return, supporting the family through difficult times and now tracking Isabelle’s progress at school so that she can avoid long journeys to the hospital.

Abigail, Isabelle’s twin sister, Mrs Sian Naylor, their mum, Vicky from Clic Sargent, Ms N Williams, class teacher, Mrs Rhian Pritchard, Clic Sargent family support nurse and Isabelle
