Attack left man with eye injury

-

A MAN who attacked the same man twice, leaving him with a serious eye injury, has been jailed for two years and four months.

Karl Craig Richardson, 22, head-butted Robert Parry in May outside a kebab shop and then attacked him that same evening outside Mr Parry’s home.

Richardson, of Ffordd Dwyfor in Llandudno, admitted a charge of common assault and one of wounding at Mold Crown Court last Thursday.

Judge Philip Hughes said that there had been a quarrel between the defendant and Mr Parry, although it was not entirely clear what it was all about.

The defendant tried to fight him at a kebab shop then he headbutted him to the bridge of the nose.

Many hours later, after the defendant made threats on Facebook against Mr Parry, he went around to his home and punched him in the face.

The victim chased after Richardson and pulled him down, and when he got up the defendant ran at him and tried to kick him in the face as he was crouched down.

He also punched him to the face and his thumb caused the victim a nasty injury to the eye which needed surgery.

Richardson left a deep cut to Mr Parry’s eye.

Judge Hughes said that there was a significant degree of pre-meditation to the attack.
