5p bag charge raises funds for hospice
Broadway Newsagent, Penrhyn Bay have recently donated £500 which they raised through the sale of 5p bags. From October 1st 2011, all retailers in Wales were be required, by law, to charge customers 5p per ’single use’ bag and donate to a charity of their choice. Since the inception nearly £35,000 has been raised for St David’s Hospice from local businesses.
