CRAIG-Y-DON ART CLUB: was founded 15 years ago, and meets at the Community Centre on Queens Road. The 50 members get together on a Thursday, between 1pm and 4pm, attending various tutorials, given by those who can teach. Tutorials include drawing, working with pastels, acrylics and water colours. Sessions are just £1.50, which includes refreshmen­ts. ST PAUL’S CHURCH: Today (Thursday), 10am coffee morning in church hall. 10.30am holy communion service. Sun Feb 8, 9.45am - traditiona­l sung holy communion service, featuring music from St Paul’s Church choir. Music includes the “A Gaelic Blessing”, written by John Rutter based on the words of an old Celtic rune and the popular hymn “Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise”. Tea and coffee served afterwards. Mon Feb 9, 2.30pm - Mothers’ Union meeting in St Paul’s Church Hall, also the organisati­on’s AGM.
