METHODIST CHURCH: Wynn Avenue: On Sunday Feb 8 the Morning Service at 11am will be led by Rev Keith Tewkesbury and will include Communion and Sunday Squad for children from 2½ to 14 years of age. Names may be added to the prayer diary for inclusion in the service, and worshipper­s are invited to tea or coffee afterwards. Regular events: Tues 2pm Ladies Fellowship; Wed 10am Coffee and Chat. SECOND SATURDAY SALE: The next monthly tabletop sale at the Methodist Church, Wynn Avenue, Old Colwyn will be on Sat Feb 14 from 9am to noon. Admission to buyers is free and refreshmen­ts will be available. Sellers should phone 01492 514398 to book a place, for which £5 is payable on the day. The premises will be open from 8.30am for setting-up. FAMILY HISTORY: The next meeting of the Conwy Branch of the Gwynedd Family History Society will be held on Monday, Feb 9. The meeting will be held in Capel Ebenezer, Abergele Road at 7pm. Hywel Roberts will share his research regarding his Uncle John. There was no trace of his Uncle John as he left the home after his wife died - but it seems he went ’south’. Hywel will relate how he found records about Uncle John.
