They will be setting up camp outside the town walls on the quay and everyone is invited to join in for a weekend of free family-friendly entertainment.

Chris Williams, of HTC Entertainment & Events who are organising the weekend, said: “This year we have a truly magnificent line-up of entertainers with acts that we’re sure will blow your mind.

“Re-enactment society The Hearts of Oak will be demonstrating what life as a pirate was really like. Meet the king’s executioner. He tells tales of crime, punishment, torture and execution.

“Or get involved in pirate school and learn how to talk and act like a pirate.”

HTC’s Claire Williams said: “We’ll be on the lookout for 2015’s best dressed pirate and for those looking to trade their plundered gold for artefacts and antiquities you’ll be sure to find something of interest in the Smuggler’s Market.”

There will also be a pirate party on June 19 at 7pm in the Blue Bell in Conwy. Tickets costing £5 each can be bought by visiting www.htcevents. co.uk/events . To receive £1 off the ticket price use the coupon code PAPERPIRATE2.
