YOUR four-legged friend could make a huge difference to your local hospice by taking part in the Woofs and Wellies event.

On Sunday, October 4, St David’s Hospice is organising a sponsored dog walk which will raise vital funds for end-of-life care for adults from across North West Wales.

Woofs and Wellies is a three-mile leisurely walk starting at 1pm from the Hospice on Abbey Road, Llandudno, and picking up the coastal path along West Shore beach heading towards Deganwy promenade, then returning back to the hospice. Café Dewi (the Hospice café) will be open between the hours of 1-4pm providing well-earned light snacks and refreshments.

Agnes Jones, Community Fundraiser, said: “It’s a lovely event. The dogs, of all shapes and sizes, look wonderful in their hospice doggy bow ties.

“We’re hoping this year will have the same family feeling and that people will take advantage of the opportunity to walk their dogs and enjoy some family time.

“The entry fee is per dog, owners walk for free, and we ask that you could please raise a minimum sponsorship of £15.”

Entry for Woofs and Wellies is £5 for dogs which includes the free doggy bow tie. For further information call St David’s Hospice on 01492 873674.
