CLWYD West AM Darren Millar returned to a Colwyn Bay Scout troop recently to present members with badges which he helped them achieve.

In July, Darren visited 6th Colwyn Bay Scouts to talk about his role as an Assembly Member and to answer questions from the group as part of their Democracy Challenge Badge.

Recently, returned to present the youngsters with their badges.

He said: “I am delighted that Scouts Wales are offering young people the opportunity to learn about politics and democracy and that I was able to assist the troop in Colwyn Bay in gaining their Democracy Challenge badge.

“I had a great time when I visited them in July and was very impressed by their keen interest in politics and I had another enjoyable evening when I returned to present them with their badges. “This is a fantastic troop which I would recommend to any youngsters in the area who have a sense of adventure.

“Anyone interested in joining the Scouts should go along on a Tuesday night to the Bryn Cadno Community Centre in Colwyn Heights at 7.30pm. The troop welcomes boys and girls and has a good mix of ages.”
