RGC aim for better

-

RGC will look to get their season back on track when they entertain Swalec Championship bottom side Llanharan at Parc Eirias this Saturday (2.30pm).

The Gogs lost for the second time on their travels this term when going down heavily 54-14 at leaders Merthyr last weekend.

Despite a good start, RGC were second best for most of the first half, Osian Davies. Andrew Brown and Martin Luckwell scoring tries, with two conversions from Matthew Jarvis making it 19-0 at the break.

The second half did not start that well for the Gogs either after Tom Daley ran in under the posts, Jarvis adding a simple conversion.

The best spell for RGC then arrived and when they did build some phases and pressure Huw Worthington and Maredydd Francis scored the tries, Lang supplying two difficult conversions.

If RGC were to get anything out of the game they needed to make sure the first tackles were completed but as the match went on, the challenges got looser and Merthyr were able to punish the visitors.

Luckwell, Davies, Jarvis and Rhys Downes added further converted tries to complete a comprehensive victory.
