There are guest speakers, free and easy days, trips out and many more activities. New members are welcome. WI: Next meeting is a Talk and Slides by Miss V Mc Donald on Exciting Travel. Last month the speaker was Wendy Raffles on her poems and prose. Jaz Porter gave the vote of thanks. Home-made Cake was made by Jan Eacott. PROBUS CLUB OF LLANDUDO: Members attended the Probus 50th Anniversar­y Celebratio­n Luncheon at the Faenol Fawr Country House Hotel on Sept 16. Llandudno Club next meet at the Dunoon Hotel for Coffee on Oct 7 at 11am. CELEBRATIO­N OF AGE: The Assembly Member for Aberconwy, Janet FinchSaund­ers AM/AC, will host a ‘Celebratio­n of Age’ event during Age Cymru’s Age Positive Week. The event will be held at The Town hall, Llandudno on Friday October 2 from 2pm to 4.30pm with the keynote speaker being Sarah Rochira, the Older Peoples Commission­er for Wales. There will be many agencies and clubs available to provide assistance and advice. Refreshmen­ts will be provided with all proceeds going to St David’s Hospice. NHSRF: The monthly meeting was held at the hall of the Llandudno Baptist Church, West Shore on Fri Sept 25. Guto Roberts from Snowdonia National Park gave a tour of the Welsh mountains and in particular Cwm Idwal. If you are retired or soon to be retired from the NHS or Social Care Services and would like to join you will be welcome. Meets last Friday of the month at 2pm. Contact Margaret Nolan on 01492 584219. ROTARY: Rtn Bob Mills gave his talk on the origins and history of greyhound racing in the UK. He gave an insight into the prime duties of the bookmakers clerk and a little cameo of the tic tac system of signalling. Both of these functions have changed dramatical­ly being replaced by the advances in technology. HOLY TRINITY CHURCH: On Sunday, Eucharist Services at 8am and 10.30am and Evening Prayer at 5pm. Tuesd to Fri Morning Prayer at 8am and Evening Prayer at 5pm. There are Eucharists at 9am on Weds, 11am Thursdays and 11am Sats (in Welsh). Sunday School meets at 10.30am during term times.
