Coleg on energy award shortlist
GRŵP Llandrillo Menai has been shortlisted for an award at Wales’ premier renewable energy awards event.
The finalists for Wales Green Energy Awards 2015 have been announced and Grŵp Llandrillo Menai has been nominated for the ‘Contribution to Skills & Training’ award. The other finalists in the college’s category are Baker Consultants (Swansea), Sêr Solar Project (Baglan) and Energy Saving Trust (Cardiff ) – Energise Wales programme.
Now in their third year, the awards are organised by RenewableUK Cymru and celebrate the success and achievements of the green energy industry in Wales. The finalists for this year’s awards also include an offshore wind farm, two solar installations and an agricultural renewable energy demonstration site.
The judging panel will be chaired by David Clubb, Director of RenewableUK Cymru, and the winners will be announced at a ceremony on Friday 6 November at St David’s Hotel, Cardiff.
David Clubb said: “We are always delighted by the quality of submissions for the Wales Green Energy Awards, and this year is no exception. Competition for the awards has been fierce. Each of the shortlisted individuals or organisations should feel extremely proud of what they have achieved over the last 12 months, often in the face of challenging political and policy decisions.”
