Edwards calls time on stay
MIKE Edwards has said an emotional farewell to Notts County after the club announced the strength and conditioning coach is set to leave Meadow Lane.
The defender enjoyed two spells at the Magpies as a player which saw him rack up more than 350 appearances before moving onto the back room staff under previous manager Shaun Derry.
“This place will always have a special place in my heart and the supporters are one of the main reasons for that,” he said.
“The time has come for me to move on but I wish the gaffer, the lads and everyone connected with the club all the best for the upcoming season.”
Notts owner and chairman Alan Hardy added: “Mike is a legendary figure in these parts and we are very sorry to see him go. I wish him all the very best in the future.”
