Save my son
ITV
THANKS to the World Cup, our trips to Weatherfield are a little all over the place this week, so viewers are going to have to be extra vigilant to make sure they catch every episode, wherever they may appear.
Little Jack is sent home from school early, but nobody really believes his condition could be serious – until they receive devastating news from the doctor. Sophie blames herself for the situation and later takes her frustrations out on a bewildered Rana.
Elsewhere, Bethany’s date with Ryan ends in disaster, prompting Sarah to confront him for messing her daughter around. Later she apologises for her outburst – and is stunned by his reaction to it.
David confides in Billy about what happened with Josh, but is annoyed by Shona’s less than enthusiastic response to his proposal.
Steve tries to find Tracy’s old engagement ring, Flora’s parting gift surprises Daniel, and Toyah tries to help Simon.
NEIGHBOURS
Channel 5
ANDREA has pulled some audacious stunts in her time, so it wouldn’t have been much of a surprise to find that she had lied about Toadie being the father of baby Hugo.
However, when the DNA test results come back, they reveal that for once, she was telling the truth. Toadie and Sonya try to come to terms with the news and the impact on their own plans to have another child.
HOLLYOAKS
Channel 4
A DRUNK and dishevelled James has filled a noticeboard with the names of the people who could have set him up for Kyle’s murder. But how did he get so many potential enemies?
We could be about to find out as flashbacks take us to the time Mac pressured him to rescue the family business, as well as his 16th birthday when his dad gave him a prostitute, despite having learned he was gay.
Elsewhere, Glenn is angry when Grace rejects his attempts to kiss her, which will do nothing for his blood pressure, but will he get a warmer reception when he makes a move on Maxine, even though they are scattering Adam’s ashes at the time?
HOME AND AWAY
Channel 5 WHATEVER happened to the classic ‘gettingdown-on-oneknee’ proposal?
It seems to have disappeared in soapland to be replaced by an overblown, outlandish gesture. So it should come as no surprise to see Ziggy pop the question by unveiling a massive banner in front of pretty much everybody they know.
Thankfully, Brody is thrilled by it and immediately accepts - but later on, begins to wonder if he’s rushing into things.
