Hardy dismisses link to Bola after Arsenal release
nue. They want a high-quality, and experienced, central midfielder in. And they also want two wingers. There is a feeling from KN that having experience in every position will only help the young players. Notts have Stead at 35 and I am sure Hemmings and Dennis can learn from him.
In defence, you’ve got Richard Duffy, who has played international and PL football. It’s only the CM position that lacks that kind of player. There’s no better way to learn than to look at somebody actually doing it out on the pitch.
Question: Hi Leigh what are your thoughts on the New kits?
Answer: I love them. Love the retro vibe of both. There’s been some shockers elsewhere, though. FORMER Notts County defender Marc Bola has been linked with a move to Championship side Wigan Athletic.
Bola is currently a free agent, having been released by Arsenal and was touted for a potential return to Meadow Lane where he spent time on loan in 2016-17 season.
But Magpies owner Alan Hardy dismissed the link with Notts having seen Dan Jones sign a new contract in the summer after a terrific back end to the season.
Bola spent last season on loan at Bristol Rovers in League One, making 23 appearances and there was speculation that he would return to the Pirates.
Wigan though have jumped to the front of the queue as they look to strengthen their squad having won promotion to the Championship as League One title winners.
Bola, who made 13 appearances for Notts, can also play right-back and played for Rovers during a Carabao Cup clash in which Darrel Clarke’s side knocked out Fulham last season.
