Will Nashville end on a high note?

-

THE musicians of Nashville are finally hanging up their hats as this hit series bows out forever.

It was cancelled once before – and saved – but TV shows only have so many lives, and this really is the final curtain for the Music City-based drama.

Ever since the great matriarch Rayna James (Connie Britton) was killed off, it’s been pretty much downhill.

So while we will miss the likes of Sam Palladio and Jonathan Jackson – be still our beating hearts – fans are ready to say goodbye.

Last time, Twig quit his life as Jonah’s full time slave and as a reward got to kiss Maddie. Alana is up to something with Brad.

A pregnant Juliette (Hayden Panettierre) bonded with Avery (Jackson) over Cadence falling ill, and tonight makes a crucial decision about her future.

Deacon found some booze in his father Gideon’s car and hurled it into the night, like a hand grenade, damaging the men’s fledgling reconciliation.

The revelation that his estranged father and fellow recovering alcoholic is drinking again means he can no longer trust him.

It’s a rough place to be in as the series swan song, entitled Beyond the Sunset, kicks off, but tonight Deacon gets an opportunity to fulfil a lifelong dream.

So lots of loose ends and not a lot of time.

Y’all better tune in to find out how it ends.
