Leaders face high-scoring challengers in tough clash

Nottingham Post - - SPORT -

IN the Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League, supported by Euro Soccer Company, Premier Division team of the month for November and current leaders Southwell City travel to Spa Lane to play Aslockton and Orston, who have lost only once in their nine outings since the start of October.

Having scored more than five goals in three of their four wins in November, second-placed Awsworth Villa will hope their rich goal scoring form continues as they host Eastwood CFC Development, while Cotgrave, in third, welcome AFC Dunkirk to Woodview.

After bowing out of the Notts FA Senior Cup at the hands of Newark Flowserve last weekend, Stapleford Town return to league action as Keyworth United, who are one place below their hosts in sixth, make the trip to Hickings Lane.

Two teams picked up their first wins of the season last weekend, Bilborough Town and Gedling Southbank. They will both hope that their upturn in fortunes continues as they host Attenborough and travel to The Forest to play FC Cavaliers respectively.

Calverton Miners’ Welfare, who were on the receiving end as Gedling secured their first maximum points haul, go to the WSA to play Wollaton.

Bilborough’s victims, Magdala Amateurs, will look to bounce back as they entertain Bingham Town at Roko.

In Division One, Ravenshead look to get back to winning ways as they host Villa Reserves. Brad Martin has returned to UK and is looking for a place in the squad.

Leaders Woodthorpe Park Rangers head to Elms Park to take on Ruddington Village and Bridgford United entertain near rivals AFC Bridgford.

In Division Two, Ravenshead Reserves travel to Bingham Town Reserves with Lee Pinner out injured but Tyler Martin should return along with Josh Worrall.
