Who are the peo­ple be­hind cam­paign?

DE­SCRIB­ING him­self as the Ne­wark Spokesper­son of Best for Bri­tain, David Hughes writes about his de­s­pair at the state of our democ­racy.

Strange then that Best For Bri­tain, whilst cam­paign­ing for a so­called “Peo­ple’s Vote” and pre­sent­ing that as be­ing demo­cratic, has the patently ob­vi­ous ob­jec­tive of over­turn­ing the re­sult of the peo­ple’s vote that was held in 2016.

In look­ing a lit­tle more closely at Best For Bri­tain, re­search re­veals that one of their ma­jor bene­fac­tors, to the tune of around £500,000, has been Ge­orge Soros.

Soros was the man who tried to break the Bank of Eng­land by bet­ting against the pound.

In do­ing so he pock­eted £1bn at the ex­pense of the Bri­tish tax­payer. Per­haps Mr Hughes will let us know why such a per­son, who is not even Bri­tish, is en­ti­tled to try to over­turn the views of the Bri­tish elec­torate.
