Queen’s re­gal pur­ple for church trip

THE Queen has at­tended a church ser­vice as she con­tin­ues her break at the San­dring­ham es­tate.

She was dressed in a mauve coat and match­ing hat, paired with black gloves, when she ar­rived for yes­ter­day’s ser­vice at the church at her coun­try es­tate in Nor­folk.

The ser­vice, at­tended by other mem­bers of the royal fam­ily, was held in St Mary Mag­da­lene Church.

Well-wish­ers gath­ered at the church to catch a sight of the 92-year-old monarch.

The Queen and Duke of Ed­in­burgh visit the Nor­folk es­tate ev­ery win­ter, and usu­ally stay un­til around Fe­bru­ary.
