Reds turned down Magpies’ bid for Grant
NOTTINGHAM Forest look to have turned down a loan bid for Jorge Grant from Notts County.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder has just returned to the City Ground after having a seasonlong loan at Luton Town cut short and he played for the Reds’ Under-23s side on Friday, pictured.
Magpies owner Alan Hardy has revealed on Twitter that Notts asked Forest about signing Grant, which would give their relegation battle in League Two a major boost, and suggested he was told the youngster will be going to a League One club.
Responding to a plea to sign Grant, who has already enjoyed two successful loan spells at Meadow Lane, Hardy wrote: “We’ve asked and he’s going to L1 apparently”.
Grant helped Notts reach the League Two play-offs semi-finals last season, scoring 15 goals.
