Center Parcs to reopen on Monday – but swimming paradise stays shut

-

CENTER Parcs has confirmed its reopening date later this month and released more details for guests.

The Nottinghamshire company, which runs holiday villages across the country, including Sherwood Forest, will be reopening on April 12 as the Government continues its roadmap out of lockdown.

Only one household will be permitted per self-catering lodge.

The restaurants on-site will run a collection and delivery service while some outdoor and indoor activities will available for guests to use and book prior to arrival.

These will include badminton, short tennis, squash, table tennis, fencing and oudoor activities such as the Aerial Adventure and adventure golf.

The shops will be open, however, the Subtropical Swimming Paradise will remain closed due to Covid-19.

A Center Parcs spokesperson said: “Following the UK Government announcement we will be reopening our UK villages and welcoming our guests back from April 12.

“All guests due to visit on breaks prior to April 12 should have already received an email with instructions on how to cancel activities and restaurants and how to reschedule or cancel.”

Discounts will be available for those wishing to book between April 12 and May 16 due to the limited number of facilities available at its parks.

As it stands, Center Parcs expects to reopen more facilities – such as its swimming pools – from May 17, although this is subject to change depending on Government announcements.
