It was the first time the new president of the United States had travelled to Britain, but Joe Biden was in danger of being eclipsed by his stylish wife at the G7 in Cornwall.
First Lady Dr Jill Biden was by her husband’s side for much of the summit and was a picture of sophistication every time she stepped out.
For the first photocall of the conference, Dr Biden, 70, made a statement in a monochrome outfit.
Turning around, she revealed the back of her Zadig and Voltaire blazer was emblazoned with the word ‘Love’ in rhinestones.
Dr Biden is a big fan of bright colours and the Brandon Maxwell midi dress she chose to meet with G7 leaders was just that, matched with red court shoes and gold jewellery.
And at a school visit with the Duchess of Cambridge, a pink L’agence blazer and white knee-length Akris dress teamed with Valentino courts made for a super summery feel.
