MR Happy, Blue Sky Ring and Boston Crème will be tempting doughnut lovers at two new Dunkin’ Donuts sites set to open in Nottinghamshire.

One of the new branches will be in the heart of Nottingham city centre, at the former Jack Wolfskin shop in the Exchange Arcade.

The second will be in West Bridgford at the new retail park development in Wilford Lane.

For those wanting to dunk something other than a Digestive in their cuppa, Dunkin’ is the place to go.

The American chain was started in 1950 by William Rosenberg who had an epiphany that people loved to dunk their doughnuts in their coffee.

The new stores will be open all day for doughnuts, coffee and other baked goods including croissants and cookies.

The chain recently opened its first store in Alfreton Road where there’s a range of freshly produced doughnuts for customers looking to sweeten up their day, whether that’s 7 o’clock in the morning or 10 o’clock at night.

The hand-finished treats include a strawberry frosted doughnut with rainbow sprinkles, Rocky Road and the original glazed ring.

Ever wondered what happens to the hole in doughnuts? The middle bits are turned into mini balls called Munchkins, which come in an assortment of flavours.

The deals were brokered by Nottingham company Box Property.

Director Frankie Labbate said: “It’s great to be welcoming an international operator to Nottingham city centre, especially one as exciting and as large as Dunkin.’ I have no doubts they will be a great addition to both the Exchange Arcade and Nottingham as a whole.”
