PLAYER RATINGS

-

ANTHONY PATTERSON:

The on-loan Sunderland goalkeeper could not be blamed for the goal but his debut was a impressive nonetheless. Made two fine saves. 7/10

DION KELLY-EVANS:

Saw plenty of the ball on the right as the wing-back and got into some good areas but his final ball lacked quality. 5/10

RICHARD BRINDLEY:

The defender showcased his ballcarrying ability when he stepped into midfield and defended his side of the pitch well. 6/10

CIARAN BRENNAN:

The on-loan Sheffield Wednesday defender acquitted himself well on his debut. One stray pass apart, he showed real maturity and can see why the Owls rate him. 7/10

ADAM CHICKSEN:

A steady performance as he returned to the team in place of the injured Kyle Cameron. Very professional. 6/10

JOEL TAYLOR:

Delivered some wonderful crosses which Notts could not capitalise on and went on some terrific runs from left wing-back. Quality. 7/10

ED FRANCIS:

Demonstrated some moments of real quality in possession but you do worry about his ability to cut it in a physical battle. Was a bit soft for the first goal. 5/10

MATT PALMER:

One of the players you never have to worry about. Far better than the National League and always tried to drive the Magpies on. 7/10

CALLUM ROBERTS:

No shortage of effort and had a shot blocked. Couldn’t fault his desperation to try to haul Notts level but he can’t do it all on his own. Frustration was evident and was booked. 6/10

RUBEN RODRIGUES:

Gave the ball away carelessly at times. Missed a great chance. 5/10

KYLE WOOTTON:

Foraged away and might have done better with a header from Joel Taylor’s cross but aside from that, the chances were few and far between. DID a lot of unselfish work. 6/10
