A NOTTINGHAM man was stunned to find out he and his family had won a whopping £70,000 cash-andcar prize in a competition that has already given away £44million.

Daniel Stanciu, 29, won the prize with online competitions company BOTB the day after finding out he is going to be a dad for the third time.

Mr Stanciu was at home when he received a video call to tell him he was a Midweek Car Competition winner and the owner of a new Audi RS3 Sportback – as well as being £20,000 richer.

“It’s been a big week for the family,” said Mr Stanciu.

“We found out yesterday that we have our third child on the way so we’re all so excited already. Then to add winning BOTB to the mix – it’s a dream come true.”

Mr Stanciu, who lives with his partner Stephanie, already has two boys – Dominic, six, and Samson, four. Mr Stanciu said he played for the Audi because he “just loves them”.

“I played for the Audi RS3 Sportback because I love them,” he laughed.

“I’ve had Audis before so I know they’re a good car – but I’ve never had one this fast!”

The Audi RS3 Sportback that Daniel has won boasts 395bhp with its i5 500 Torque engine.

“The cash is the cherry on top,” he laughed. “That will come in handy for the baby and next year. Not forgetting Christmas, too.”

BOTB hands over the keys to two cars each week as well as the lifestyle prize.

Other recent winners have bagged a quad bike, a holiday to the Arctic and £15,000 in cash.

The company, listed on the Stock Market, was founded by William Hindmarch in 1999 and has given away more than £44m-worth of cars so far.

BOTB presenter Christian Williams said: “I love my job getting to surprise the lucky BOTB winners each week and this week was a really lovely call.

“A huge congratulations to Daniel and his whole family not only for their huge BOTB win but the exciting new addition to the family. All the best.”
