Fast track to obesity and NHS chaos?

-

ARE companies such as Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats – along with other prepared meals being delivered to the door – accelerating those who use or subscribe to these services toward a heart attack or other coronary disease, as well as other health conditions from eating sometimes lukewarm food?

I could understand the need for such services during the lockdown periods as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, but do a majority of people really need these services today, or is it a part of this culture where everyone else should do the things they do not want to do?

How much are charges on family budgets in times of pressures on our living costs for such services?

Are fast food restaurants also adding to the obesity problem the country has, and will these chains of fast-food restaurants be willing to pay a windfall tax to cover our over-burdened NHS?

With obesity comes the everincreasing risk of one of the types of diabetes, which does impact on the NHS through the prescribing of insulin and other medications to manage and control.

One must ask whether, as in the case of BP, we should be looking at our major brands and services for windfall taxes to try and alleviate the pressures on those suffering as a result of the cost of living.

Finally on big corporate business, why has British Gas failed to inform its customers that their accounts had been closed down and another opening new accounts to accommodate a new external billing service to take over that aspect of its business at such a stressful time for customers to monitor their bills and usage?
