Brilliant Joe’s show a night to remember

-

I COULDN’T help but smile when the trams passed me with a massive advertisement for this year’s Theatre Royal pantomime, it was Joe Pasquale and the cast for Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs. It’s going to be a lot of laughs.

In October I spent a weekend at Chapel St Leonard’s. My three sisters organised it. Saturday night was spent at the Club Tropicana.

One of the great entertainers of the evening was Joe Pasquale.

They’d booked seats so we were on the front row. He was so funny.

I never thought in a million years I’d be asked on stage to be the butt of his jokes for half an hour. I have a great sense of humour, so could laugh with him .

He’s such a funny man. I remember seeing him as Frank in Some-mothers Do Have ’Em! He was brilliant.

At the end of the show, Joe sang a song while painting a picture. It was an upside down painting and when it was turned around the audience gasped – it was Judy Garland as Dorothy.

At that point Joe said to the audience: “I’m going to give this to Jean.”

I was shocked. A manager came from backstage, took the picture back, and Joe signed it to me (pictured).

I would like to say, through the Nottingham Post, thank you Joe, and good luck with the panto. He will be great... oh yes he will!
