Doughnotts’ new shop near Ikea store

-

NOTTINGHAM’S doughnut supremos Doughnotts are set to open a new shop at one of the county’s busiest retail parks.

The company’s latest location will be at Giltbrook – already home to big-name brands like Ikea, Marks & Spencer and Nando’s.

A slightly bigger outlet than the ones at Mcarthur Glen Designer Outlets in the East and West Midlands, it can be found next to M&S and Barker & Stonehouse.

Standard and premium doughnuts will be on sale, along with vegan-friendly treats and specials.

Sweet-toothed fans will be able to get stuck into favourites such as Red Velvet, Cookie Monster and Death by Chocolate. Premium flavours currently include Berry Good Oreo, Ginger Spice and Black Forest Gateau.

It will be Doughnotts’ seventh store. The company was founded in 2015 by Wade Smith and Megan Scaddan. Other branches include King Street, Nottingham. and High Road, Beeston. Across the border are shops in Lincoln and Leicester.

The first 50 customers will get a free salted caramel doughnut when the store opens on Saturday at 9am. The news was greeted with enthusiasm. One fan said: “This is amazing news but also terrible news as it’ll be on my doorstep, here comes the weight gain.” Another said: “Even more of a reason for a trip to Ikea.”
