Hunt not being as fair as he pretends to be
MR Jeremy Hunt (pictured) has repeated once more “Everybody must contribute. Those with more must pay more.” and he has lowered the highest tax threshold from £250,000 to £225,000.
If I was getting £250,000 per annum
I would be quite cross about it. I would be paying around £1,250 more in tax but that would not be my reason for crossness. It would be because millionaires, billionaires and trillionaires would only get the same tax rise, a fleabite to them, because the top rate of tax has not increased.
So Mr Hunt is not being as fair as he pretends. I wonder, does he realise he is protecting the millions, perhaps billions of his party’s donors? Surely not.
