Wanted man held in drug raid
NOTTINGHAMSHIRE Police caught a wanted man on suspicion of supplying drugs in an early morning raid in Basford.
On Tuesday, 14 officers raided two homes in Brooklyn Road and Bailey Street at around 8.30am.
Police smashed into the Bailey Street address and arrested a man wanted by Lincolnshire Police on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
At Brooklyn Road scales and wrap bags were found, and police recovered an extendable baton.
The raids were carried out by the Operation Reacher team and neighbourhood officers.
Sergeant Tracey Perkins said: “We will continue to carry out these warrants to ensure that our residents do not have to endure this behaviour on their streets. Not only have we potentially taken an offensive weapon off the streets today we have also caught a man wanted by Lincolnshire Police.
“This is very much an active investigation as we start to build up an intelligence picture.”
