Greedy MPS keep snouts in trough
WITH millions of people on the breadline in this cost-of-living crisis, coupled with a recession, our MPS have now been bequeathed with a free Christmas lunch at Parliament, along with one at their constituency office.
Who is paying for these Christmas lunches? Again, it is the mugs who are struggling to keep house and family together, namely constituents of the MPS. They are making cuts everywhere to fill the black hole in our finances, but we can give our MPS a free Christmas lunch? Although they claim that they have increased funding to the NHS, they want those more affluent to pay for their own treatment or operation.
I will definitely not be voting for the Conservatives if this is their attitude towards constituents – “snouts in trough” and arrogance come to mind when I think of the way this Government has treated everyone. Is it time to cut a lot of these so-called rewards and benefits? We have a black hole in our budget, yet MPS do not have to worry – we will still pay their salaries, benefits and perks.
