Police hunt man over card theft

POLICE are hunting a thief who stole a man’s bank card outside a city mosque.

The man realised his wallet was gone in Gregory Boulevard, Hyson Green, at around 7.45pm on September 6.

He received a phone notification saying someone had tried to use the card to buy items from shops nearby within half an hour. The card has not yet been retrieved and

Police have now issued a CCTV image of someone they believe could help them. Sergeant Dan Buckle said: “It’s extremely important that anyone who recognises the man in this image gets in touch with the police as soon as possible. “We’d ask that anyone with information calls the police on 101, quoting incident 628 of September 6, or phones Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
