Clifton fire deaths: Man, 31, charged with triple murder

POLICE have charged a man with the murders of a mother and two young children after a flat fire in Clifton.

Fatoumatta Hydara, 28, was pronounced dead two days after her young daughters – one-yearold Naeemah Drammeh and three-year-old Fatimah Drammeh – who died as a result of the fire in Fairisle Close in the early hours of Sunday.

Yesterday, detectives charged Jamie Barrow, of Fairisle Close, Clifton, with three counts of murder.

The 31-year-old has been remanded into police custody and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrate­s’ Court today.

Assistant Chief Constable Rob Griffin, of Nottingham­shire Police, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family at this incredibly painful time, as well as the communitie­s that have been affected by this most tragic of incidents. The grief this family has been put through is incomprehe­nsible.”
