Investigation under way after police car involved in collision
OFFICERS are investigating a collision between a police vehicle and a car in Nottingham.
The incident in Edwards Lane, Sherwood, was first reported shortly before 8.45am yesterday.
The road was shut in both directions for several hours before reopening at around 3.30pm.
Chief Inspector Riz Khan, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers were called to Edwards Lane, following reports of a collision between a police vehicle and a car.
“An officer was checked for injuries at the scene by our colleagues at East Midlands Ambulance Service. An investigation is under way to determine exactly what happened.”
