It’s a happy 100 for Hilda
HILDA Anthony is pictured with her birthday card from King Charles and Camilla, Queen Consort, as she celebrates her 100th birthday.
Hilda became a centenarian on Wednesday and celebrated with friends, relatives, staff and fellow residents at Fairway View care home where she recently moved after 80 years living in Bestwood Village.
After opening her card in the morning she led the dancing as guests were treated to a singer performing old-time classics and, of course, a rendition of Happy Birthday.
Celebrations continued in the afternoon with a tea party for residents, friends, family and the Mayor and Mayoress of Gedling.
Last week, Hilda had a big party at Bestwood Miners’ Welfare where she welcomed many old friends, neighbours and extended family for afternoon tea.
