What Brexit freedoms have we gained, then?

-

OUR Brexit freedoms must be protected, says Councillor John M Parr (“Our Brexit freedoms must be protected”, Opinion, November 22).

Who is he talking about? Not me or the majority of the electorate. They are non-existent as far as we are concerned. It is our EU freedoms that are gone and our hardwon national freedoms which are being chipped away.

Councillor Parr speaks for the hardliners of the Brexiteers, a tiny minority of the total Brexiteers and even tinier minority of the electorate. He talks of trade deals promised six years ago of which there are still no signs. He boasts of our long-cherished national freedoms, but for whom? He does not say. In fact, he says little concrete about anything. What has replaced our freedom to travel or work in Europe? Nothing.

We have had 12 years of waste and austerity which has got worse since Brexit, with added fraud and scandals. The population is being fleeced and the country milked. Evidence?
