Welcome back, Lord Ted
NEWARK PUB REOPENS AFTER MASSIVE REVAMP TO CELEBRATE TWO ANNIVERSARIES
A NOTTINGHAMSHIRE pub has reopened its doors after a major revamp.
The Lord Ted in Newark welcomed customers yesterday.
The pub on Farndon Road has undergone a major revamp to modernise the Greene King Pub & Carvery site.
Inside the pub, customers will find a fully refreshed decor with a new colour scheme, furniture and furnishings.
The restaurant has been given a contemporary upgrade to create a bright and inviting atmosphere for customers, while the bar area has been enlarged to add more sports viewing areas.
The sports area now boasts a brand-new audio system and a total of seven screens – so prospective customers can experience live sports in all areas of the pub.
Customers can enjoy a fresh carvery, as well as other food options and drinks.
Visitors will be able to download the Greene King Season Ticket app to get 10 percent off drinks.
The outdoor space received an upgrade earlier this year, seeing an expansion and the addition of four covered and heated pods.
A large outdoor TV and speakers were also added.
Simon Keane, general manager of the Lord Ted, said: “The Lord Ted has something for everyone, and we’re excited to show off our new and improved sports and dining setup to both old and new customers, just in time for the football frenzy and festive season.
“We are celebrating two special anniversaries this year at the Lord Ted – 25 years since the pub was first built and five years operating as a pub and carvery, so the refurbishment couldn’t have come at a better time!”
