There’s not a day I don’t think of Tom...

THE WANTED SINGER’S WIDOW OPENS UP ABOUT HER GRIEF

-

KELSEY PARKER: LIFE AFTER TOM ITVBE, 9pm

DURING lockdown, The Wanted singer Tom Parker was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour. He died just 18 months later in March of this year.

The 33-year-old pop star left behind his wife Kelsey and their two young children, Aurelia and Bodhi.

In this heart-wrenching series, Kelsey shares her very personal story of grief as she tries to navigate life after Tom.

She says: “Every morning I wake up and he’s not beside

me. There’s not a day that I wake up or go to bed and I don’t think about him because he’s not there, he’s not with me. “He’s not downstairs making breakfast with the kids. He’s not playing with them outside in the garden. He’s not annoying me, asking me some annoying questions. He’s just not here now.”

The series follows Kelsey and her young family as they mark the major milestones without Tom and she meets people from all walks of life, who share their own insights into grief.

In this first episode, she prepares for what would have been Tom’s 34th birthday.

Kelsey decides to put on a charity event to raise money for brain cancer research and invites her and Tom’s good friend James ‘Arg’ Argent from TOWIE to sing at the event.

Kelsey also meets a group of other young widows to share experiences and joins her friend Giovanna Fletcher on her podcast.

She says: “Now Tom’s gone, I really want to raise as much money as I can for brain cancer. I need to make a difference. The legacy lives on through me and I have to make a change.”
