Rockets land Ash with first draft pick
ASH Gardner, Rovman Powell and Imad Wasim were the big names to join Trent Rockets at The Hundred Draft, powered by Sage.
In the women’s competition, Gardner was chosen with the Rockets’ first pick – joining Nat Sciverbrunt and Alana King in Nottingham – while Powell and Wasim link up with Andy Flower’s men’s team.
Grace Scrivens, Heather Graham, Katie George, Josie Groves, Kira Chathli, Cassidy Mccarthy, Tom Banton, Calvin Harrison, Jordan Thompson and Adam Lyth have also signed for Trent Rockets.
Elsewhere in The Hundred Draft, Kieron Pollard went to Southern Brave, Meg Lanning to London Spirit and Beth Mooney to Manchester Originals.
England players Dawid Malan, Lauren Filer and Ollie Pope were also on the move, as well as international superstars Andre Russell, Shaheen Afridi, Chamari Athapaththu and Nicholas Pooran.
Banton said: “I’m delighted to be drafted by Trent Rockets, it’s a really strong squad with a lot of potential to do well.
“I know the crowd builds a great atmosphere there and I’m looking forward to being a part of The Hundred again.”

The opening game of The Hundred’s fourth year sees Birmingham Phoenix travel to The Kia Oval on Tuesday, July 23 to face Oval Invincibles – the first of 68 games.
Fans who have previously attended The Hundred can buy tickets in an exclusive window which is open until March 27.
There will be a priority window open from April 9-23 for all fans who sign up in advance at thehundred. com.
The general sale period begins from April 25.
Prices are set at £5 for juniors aged 3-15 (free for under 3s) and adults starting from £11.
All games will be live on Sky Sports and BBC broadcast and digital channels throughout the competition.
